4 Tips To Avoid Life Disempowerment

Feeling stuck can be the most frustrating feeling you will ever have in your life. A feeling of helplessness, and dis-empowerment.

Do you really feel stuck? Have you been working your finger to the bones and yet you feel that you aren’t making any headway? Has life just been keeping you in the dumps?

Unfortunately, too many of us feel that way sometimes. Let’s be honest life has its ups and downs.
The good thing though is that you do not have to feel that way, and if you do, you can change your situation.
If you aren’t prepared for those knocks when they come you will be knocked off your feet. As humans, we are never prepared for the downs. When things are going well we always think this is it, and we too often think things will continue this way, but things change.

None of us knows what the future holds and because life does change things will change, and none of us know if it will be for the better or worse.

1. The first question you need to ask yourself every day you wake is “What if today was my last day on earth?”
When you’ve asked yourself that question every day in a sincere manner, you will refocus. You cannot expect that it will be business as usual.

2. Secondly you need to ask yourself “Am I living a life that truly matters?”
When you ask yourself that question, it will demand that you take action. Too many times we aimlessly go through life depressed, disheartened, frustrated, angry, bitter to name a few of the emotions we often experience, not understanding fully that life is short and that this indeed could be your last day.
Why do you allow yourself to fall into that trap? That’s the reason so many of us never rise to our full potential. So many of us fail to live our passion. We go through life just doing enough not going after what we want with the hunger and desire. We should live a life that matters.

To become unstuck you have to find a purpose in life. What is yours? Your purpose for doing the things you do must be driven by the fact that tomorrow is never promised. Live each day to the fullest.

We all plan on being happy, someday. We will achieve our dreams, someday. We will do all the things we need to do, someday. We all have a plan for someday, and that someday never comes. Let someday be today. Grab the bull by the horn and go for it as they say.

Living a life that truly matters is about the impact that you have made on the world and those around you. We all have a purpose. You need to find yours and go for it. Do not wait around for tomorrow or someday to come.
What influence do you have on other people’s lives? What is the quality of the relationship you have with yourself and others?
Steve Jobs lived each day as though it was his last and boy did he impacted the world. He is no longer with us but what a man he was. His legacy will live on forever. He lived his life to the fullest, and he changed the world forever.

3. Thirdly you ask yourself “What do I want?”
When you are feeling stuck in a particular situation, your thoughts will be focused on where you are at that time. You want to get out of the situation and escape as fast as you can. You are desperate to change your situation. The problem though is that, because you are so focused on where you are you are missing all the opportunities available to you that you could improve your life and, therefore, change your situation.
It is time to change. You need to find out what you want to do. If you are in a relationship that isn’t going where you want it to go. Then you need to ask yourself the question “what do I want? “ with that answer you then can put your plan in place to make it happen. If you do not know what the quality of the relationship you need you won’t know what to do to get it and you will remain stuck.

You will more than likely repeat and make the same mistakes you have been making over and over again. You are so focused on you being stuck that you keep going around in circles and never getting the problem solved. You will then eventually settle where you are and accept life as it is.
Once you’ve decided what you want, you will then be able to see the opportunities that are open for you and will be able better to make better judgment.

4. And lastly, “What is it I need to do today that I have avoided for some time?”
Procrastination is one of the biggest reasons for us getting stuck. We keep delaying the things we know we need to do to acquire the life we need. Often we procrastinate because we’ve tried before, and the results were unfavorable and we do not want to be disappointed again or you have done some work and did not know what to do next.
You know what you need to do to get where you want to, but you aren’t doing it. Were you procrastinating out of fear or something else? You need to stop it today. You need to take action and watch things fall into place for you. The biggest secret to breaking free is taking action. You just have to act.
